rising sun

Located on the banks of the Ohio River in the state's smallest county,  Rising Sun is home to the Shiners, all 300 of them. Famous for their bands and competitive sports teams, Rising Sun has won 10 basketball Sectional Championships (6 boys, 4 girls), 3 Regional Titles, 1 Semi-State and in 2000 the girl's team came 50 seconds away from winning a State Championship.  CGS/MEK.
