sidetracked
The best distance between two points is not always a straight line. Sometimes the map leads you to a place called Mooresville and a gym called Newby. Built in 1920 and named for one of the founders of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the beautiful free standing monument to the past still rocks with the sound of basketballs and cheering fans - only now, instead of Sectionals (hosted here in 1922 & 1923), the Mooresville Junior Basketball League call it home. Since our visit was unexpected, the views were only from the outside. But, as we've so often discovered, the key to any door is there for the asking. CGS.
